Watched Sammi Cheng's (郑秀文) Show Mi concert last night after missing it previously in Hong Kong. So my sis sponsored this concert as bday gift for me.
Always well known for her chameleon-like image custom (but her unique eyebrow is surprisingly MIA), Sammi is back with her signature dance tracks such as <叮当>, <小心女人>, <眉飞色舞> & etc. Her performance of those disco dance tracks kept many of the audiences on their feet & light sticks waving frantically in the air. But it was her old hits such as <不拖不欠>, <出界>, <终身美丽>, <默契> & <亲密关系> that made me sang along happily & wanting for more.
The concert ended at 10.40pm despite 10mins of 2nd encore-ing by audiences. And according to media report, it was initially planned to have a 2nd encore but was cancelled last min as Sammi was feeling really sick & can't go on any more. Despite ending early & leaving many songs left unsang which resulted in me being alittle unsatisfied, kudus must still be given to this singer whom sang really fast tracks & dancing at the same time without sounding breathless. Not many singer can do that.
By the way, she does not seems as thin as what the media made her out to be. She looks normal slim not super thin like anorexia. & she seems to be in jovial mood; cracking jokes to audiences & the 2 lucky fans whom went on stage to sing with her.
Overall, i did enjoyed this concert (esp since the guest singer is YanZi whom i love!). Given that 90% of her tickets are sold & the level of high-ness of the audiences, it is no doubt she remains Hong Kong's undisputable Queen of Pop!
