i don't know should i label it as a comedy or fantasy or musical or cartoon. This movie is a blend of live human action with traditional 2D animation. The plot is pretty straight forward & simple. A girl meets her prince & the wicked queen try ways & means to keep this couple apart to secure her own position. U will see familiar storyline like: using of poison apple to dope the girl, asking mirror for advise, prince getting girl to try on 1 shoe etc.
Those who dream of happily-ever-after story will like such plot, but i don't. The only character i like in this movie is the chipmunk. Cute!
Hence, my advise is . . . . . watch only if u are bored on a weekday.
