Kung Fu Slam Dunk

功夫灌籃 Kung Fu Dunk brings back together 杰伦 with action director 程小東（by the way 此程小東非比陈晓东）and cinematographer Zhao XiaoDing. The trio formerly worked together on the Chinese epic “满城尽带黄金甲” which is the only movie starring Jay that I did not watch.

I think Kung Fu Dunk is by far the only movie that u get to see the most expressions on Jay’s face. Plus u gets to see Jay displaying his comical or should I say nerdy performance. Being completely unlike Jay’s previous three films, filming for this movie must have been more physically exhausting. In fact, to prove himself as a serious actor, Jay physically suffered during the filming having suffered up to 16 bruises on his first day on the set.

The whole movie’s attraction is just Jay 耍帅 , Jay 耍球技 & Jay 装可爱, i think they also focus too much on the fighting scenes loaded with CGI, that they did not even unravel the story well enough for the audience to understand the plot. Esp the ending part, the director seems to just want to end the storyline hastily.

In general, i would say watch this movie for a good laugh (u get to catch Jacky Wu too!) & to admire Jay’s display of his charm!
