Mine last visit was during sec. school dayz!
So this should be considered my 1st trip there ever since the 3 years redevelopment from 2003.
Now this iconic architecture site has blossom into a modern classical European style building. Besides the usual exhibition halls, there are now various chic F&B outlets within the compound too.
The main purpose of this visit is because of this:
This is a rare opportunity to be able to appreciate the Greek masterpieces in S’pore, unless u have been to the renowned Louvre museum in Paris. These 130 exquisite pieces are really fascinating! The whole exhibition gallery is divided into 4 sections – Athens in the Classical Period, Living in Ancient Greece, Agon: The Spirit of Competition & Religion: of Gods and Heroes; using detailed marble sculptures, figurines, vases & jewellery.
If you are like me, someone who is mesmerized with Greek mythology, then make some time to visit this exhibition. It is only till 16 Mar hor.
