Today is 端午節 also known as Dragon Boat Festival
So we should be eating rice dumpling aka 粽子.
Did i tell u, my mum make the best 粽子?
At least to me!
Made up with simple ingredients like bamboo leaves, glutinous rice, meat, chestnuts & mushroom.
Great combination!
Pity that i did not master my mum's skill, so afraid it will 失传.
On another note, one of the key tradition of Dumpling festival is racing Dragon Boats.
And i guess those at Orchard Road this morning can actually do this!
And to think that TNP reported in 1999 that Orchard will never flood!
i guess Ministry of Environment & that writer of the article must be eating their own words now.
When i passed by the Marina Barrage Dam this afternoon, the water level looks scarily high.
Taxis drive say the North Pole melting is contributing to higher sea level worldwide.
So is the prophecy about the end of the world nearing?
Save the GAIA now before it's too late.
