My Weekendz

Getting off my warm cozy bed @ 8.30am, this is consider exceptionally early for my Sat morn. But the push factor or rather should be pull factor that pull me out of my bed is a nice walk & breakfast at East Coast Park.

By 9.30am, me, toto & uncle jt were all sitting at Scruffy Murphy's Irish Cafe-Pub at Marine Cove looking at the menu liao. I decided on the

Big Breakfast
(note its not the same as what U get at Mac hor)

& uncle jt decided on Salmon Omelette

I personally find this is a great place to chill out with the not-as-nice-as-redang beach pictureque ECP beach view & wonderful sea breeze. This is a dog friendly place with the tables generously spaced out. Though they have a "dog not allow on chair" policy, the waitress serving us pointed this out gently to us & then offered to provide us a mat for toto to sit on the ground. Now i have only heard of "offering food/drink for your pets" never before "mat for your pet to sit". How nice is that! But i rejected her nice offer as i know given toto's pattern, he will bark non-stop & make a nuisance of himself should i let him sit alone below the table. So i juz placed him on my lap. Generally i find the waitresses over there really provide good & professional service. I kept seeing them running around & the waiting time was actually pretty short for such crowded sat morn. I will rate this eatery 4/5 stars!

After our yummy breakfast, toto started his much anticipated walk for 1hr...
before we proceeded home


Sunday, treated my family to Crystal Jade for dim sum. Although my pocket burnt $100+ but it's really a good feeling to see whole family enjoying a meal. My mum even 偷师 some dishes & tried cooking something similar the next day! Great! Now i have even more nice home-cooked food to savor! :p
