Today we got to experience the power of bullet train
It felt just like taking MRT, only it's much faster, quieter & spacious.fyi, the bullet train was created in 1960s when Japan first hosted Olympic, to facilitate the traveling time of the participants.
This train which i took was the 3rd generation. Currently the newest is the 4th generation.
Each generation is supposedly faster than the previous.
After this, we proceed on to Hakone where Mt Fuji is located.
Too bad, the weather on that day was really bad as it was raining the whole day.
So up the mountainous area, it will be very foggy.
Hence, did not get to go up to Mt Fuji.
But at least we managed to visit the Hakone Lake where we has our delicious lunch
& at Owakudani Boiling Valley, tasted the egg cooked in sulphurous boiling ponds.
Next up, the Peace Park
Step up the huge Japanese 木屐 for 步步高升 & hit the huge 钟 for 心想事成.
In the late evening, we proceeded to our hot spring resort for a night stay.
The resort is located at Lake Kawaguciko which is at the foot of Mt Fuji.

Had fun experiencing true typical Japanese culture by cladding in kimono & staying in tatami room.
The tatami room is fixed with heater instead of air con which makes the room really warm & cozy. While the mattress of the bed is a bit thin for me, so i added on another mattress for comfy. i would say this is a must try to stay in tatami room when in Japan!p.s.: i have added some lomo pics to previous entry. Check em out if u're interested!
to be continue . . .
